09 April 2008 — Edelman and Spook have announced their union! The leading digital agency you know and love will be joining
the Edelman stable!
Marcus Dyer will continue as managing director and our team
of talented web fiends will now comprise 25 people with fees in excess of £2 million per year. Neat!
Our fine Spook Media clients include Seiko, British Motor Show, ExCel Exhibition Centre, Fashion Targets Breast Cancer but
we now add new friends from Edelman including Unilever, Fort Dodge, AXA, Microsoft, Snickers.
Robert Phillips, CEO, Edelman UK, said: “Marcus and his team have been doing some industry-leading work. There is a clear synergy in our views about the Conversation Economy and the future of communication in the digital world. Bringing together our capabilities and Next Generation thinking made perfect sense.”
Marcus Dyer, Managing Director, Edelman Digital, said:
“Bringing together our individually strong capabilities – Spook’s design and technical skills and Edelman’s strategic and communications expertise – creates a powerful new agency in the Digital space.”
Exciting times for Spook indeed. Watch this space.

So what's that all about? Well, the deal goes that companies are polluting the planet indirectly through their use of electricity and gas and wot not.
Now, what with being in the business of Internets we're kind of stuck with using the old electricity, so the plan goes like this... We plant enough trees to balance out the amount of carbon dioxide that we have produced through our impressive rapacity for all things electrical. I'd run you through the science but GCSE biology seems so far off now... Something about photosynthesis I think.
And here's the cool bit. It means we've got our own Spooky woods. Now I don't want to big it up too much because it's probably only about 30 trees, so you're not going to get all Blair Witch in there, but it's a good start.
Also it's great because it means we're giving just a little bit back to mother earth and I don't have to feel so bad about all the whaling I've been doing at weekends.
Anyways, many many thanks to our chums and good clients down at Moor Trees for getting their hands dirty and getting our little Spook saplings off to a great start.
