Marquee is a new development in web based event management software from Spook Media. If you are looking to organise an event Marquee allows you to control all information and communications from one system.

Marquee event management software enables users to streamline their event management operations. No two events are exactly the same so the Marquee software is designed and shaped to fit each client on an individual basis.

The system has a user-friendly management tool that allows administrators to manage delegate requirements. The tool includes group emailing facilities and a live website to allow you to keep your delegates up to date with the latest event and itinerary details.

Marquee deals with operations from initial delegate registration and invitation through to payment and post event contact, using an updateable online system.

Marquee has multiple levels of user security allowing secure log in for delegates and for the organiser, as well as complete delegate database maintenance.

Case Study: Activision Activate Event

Once a year, Activision hosts a press extravaganza in order to show off its new games for the forthcoming year. The event, Activate, is visited by the most influential members of the gaming industry, flocking from all corners of the globe. With so many important members of the press converging on a single day, effective co-ordination is of paramount importance.

For each individual visiting the event there are innumerable pieces of information that need to be managed effectively; from the travel arrangements, the hotel, the itinerary, right through to the choice of meal on the day. Tracking and managing all these details would quickly become unmanageable and with so many VIPs expected, there would be no room for mistakes.

Spook used the Marquee event management system for Activate, cutting the administration overheads by literally weeks. All user details were managed and rationalised within a tightly integrated database, ensuring that Activision staff were able to extract the very specific details that they required.

Marquee turned weeks of event management headaches into a few minutes of application in a coffee break. Activision has used Marquee for events in 2001, 2002 and 2003.
