Freelance Content Editor

We’re looking for a content developer to join our team for a freelance role lasting 4-6 weeks, though there is a possibility this will extend. The role will involve working with a CMS to integrate content into client websites, copy writing and moderation of user generated content. There’ll be some basic HTML/CSS tasks involved with formatting the content.

We’re ideally looking for someone who is reliable and thorough, with a keen interest in copy writing (for web) with some basic HTML/CSS skills but this are not essential.

We work on a wide range of projects–site development, online ads, social media, online PR etc. We have clients from a variety of sectors, many who are well known household companies.

We like to think that we’re a great company to work with (doesn’t everyone?!)! Friendly and easy-going, while at the same time hard working (naturally) and keen on getting the deliverables met and of a high quality.

Freelance Project Managers

We’re looking for freelancer project managers to help us out with a heavy workload in the New Year.

This will involve writing project documents, planning schedules, client communication and working with the team to get what’s needed done (as well as other normal Project Management tasks). You may be required to manage your own small projects as well as helping the other Project Managers out where needed, or be focussed on one larger project. A knowledge of some basic HTML/CSS tasks involved with formatting website content would also be beneficial.

Freelance Technical Developers

We are looing for Technical Developers to help develop websites and interactive applications for our household-name clients.

Currently, we’re looking for developers with ideally at the relevant experience in PHP, MySQL and Content Management Systems , along with a good insight into OOP. A strong understanding of JavaScript and proven experience with XHTML and CSS including accessibility standards is vital. Previous exposure to WordPress and Expression Engine would be highly beneficial.

The in-house tech team provides a friendly and technical driven environment to work in. Sometimes, freelancers can also work from home, but in-office working is often required for at least the kick-off meetings.

Essential Skills

  • PHP 5 and MySQL
  • Expert in standards compliant XHTML and CSS
  • Cross browser testing
  • DOM JavaScript and experience with jQuery, AJAX, JSON
  • Thorough knowledge of WordPress
  • Experience with version control (Git/Subversion)
  • Experience with IIS and Apache and maintaining web servers
  • Strong quality focus and experience providing quotes and technical specifications
  • Flexibility, initiative and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to communicate technical details courteously and clearly to non-technical users

Beneficial Skills

  • PHP frameworks including CodeIgniter
  • Experience developing iPhone applications
  • C#/.NET 2.0/3.5 and SQL Server
  • Knowledge of .NET MVC framework
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails, Perl, Python
  • Experience with MOSS
