So, after years of the Spook team being massive Starbucks clients it really seemed only fair that they become one of ours.
Launching Starbucks Via
Starbucks is one of the most recognizable brands in the world and is committed to engaging with its fans worldwide. We worked with our friends at JCPR to develop a digital strategy for the rolling launch of Starbucks VIA in the UK, helping challenge preconceptions and raising brand awareness and identity online.
It’s all about the food
We began by initiating conversations with some of the UK’s most popular food and lifestyle bloggers and engaging with supporters through various social media sources such as Twitter.
Event-based fun
Several bloggers wrote about VIA, including some who were openly skeptical but ended up enjoying the coffee. The next phase of the still-ongoing campaign includes helping VIA sponsor the August 2009 London Bloggers Meetup, and introducing hardcore World of Warcraft players to VIA as a method of staying alert during long raids.
