Krispy Kreme is one of the world’s most loved brands with a legion of passionate fans and engaged customers across the UK. We developed a strategy to help Krispy Kreme engage its fans and customers more effectively online and empower them to evangelize about the products they love.
A totally new site… Sweet!
Our approach began with creating a new website, one that was more engaging, dynamic and conversational. The new site features a cleaner, simple design that embraces the unique Krispy Kreme brand. It also includes home page elements that can be easily modified for seasonal promotions or product as well as an innovative widget to aggregate Krispy Kreme’s Twitter and Facebook content.
To keep the site visually engaging, the interior pages were each styled individually, though all of the content is served via a WordPress content management system, so that anyone can update existing pages or add new ones at anytime. In short, the perfect balance of flexibility and attractiveness.
Social media in delicious real time
At the same time, we helped Krispy Kreme begin to engage its fans through social media. We began by introducing ourselves to Krispy Kreme fans in blogs, Twitter and Facebook. Later, in support of Krispy Kreme’s spring ‘Take a break from your desk’ effort, we distributed a daily online-only voucher through social media and via e-mail to the Friends of Krispy Kreme.
The payoff was sweet! During the lunchtime offers web traffic increased 10 fold, leading to 10,000 voucher downloads over the course of the 5 day campaign.
