Rachel Heng

Rach hails from the gert lush patch that is Brizzle, where drum ‘n’ bass comes from, but she truly dislikes. Instead of wanting to learn to drive a tractor or combine harvester, she decided to harvest in on her design and web talents, which took her further a field….haha. She took her first steps at the first internet café/consultancy in Bristol and has since worked in various agencies in London and Sydney. During those times, some of the projects she was involved with included Volkswagen, Philips, Harvey Nichols and a micro-site for an Australian Reality TV Show.
A Creative at Spook since 2006, Rachel works with colours, alignment, spacing, shapes, images, type and illustration with the utmost detail. She’s got an obsession for consistency, usability, and did we mention detail? Yep, she’s been known to stare a straight line out into a curve. She’s got leaps and bounds of imagination, maybe some left for you too if your lucky. To add to this, she’s a borderline geek and can code up the layout of sites and email newsletters, in the blink of an eye. With this in mind, she can realise the scope of what can be achieved for you. She’s worked on some of our biggest clients including Puma, Chrysler, Jeep and Krispy Kreme.
Outside of work, Rachel will run around in circles in her spare time with the hope that perhaps one day in her life she’ll be able to take part in a marathon. But in the meantime, she is quite happy to have a marathon dining extravaganza, as she likes her food and is always hunting out new places to try.
